Three Vehicles Involved in Collision near 5 Freeway
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 11, 2018) – One person was injured in a three-vehicle crash on 805 Freeway, early Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 5:50 AM, just north of the 5 Freeway. At least three parties were involved in the incident.
Reports showed that a vehicle spun around, facing the wrong way in the No. 3 lane of the highway, before collided with a four-door sedan and another unknown car. It is unclear why the vehicle was traveling in the wrong direction, and the events leading up to the first collision.
Medics responded to the scene and rescued one person who was injured in the incident. The victim reportedly sustained minor injuries, but there is no update on his current medical condition.
The No. 3 and 4 lanes of the highway were closed due to the incident, as tow trucks cleared the scene and officials conducted their preliminary investigation. No further details have been disclosed to the public, as the investigation continues.
