Three Semi-Trucks Involved in Collision near Moses Lake
RITZVILLE, WA (December 3, 2019) – One person was injured in a multi-vehicle crash on 90 Freeway of eastbound on Tuesday morning.
According to reports, the collision happened near Moses Lake. The reports showed that three semi-trucks were involved in the incident. The pile-up occurred when one truck lost control on snow and ice and its trailer detached. The next trucks ran into the back of the crash scene.
One person was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Washington Department of Ecology crews said two trucks leaked 300 gallons of diesel fuel in the area. Both lanes of eastbound I-90 were closed for several hours.
Troopers said speed likely played a role in the crashes, however, an investigation is on-going.
