Injuries Sustained in Multiple-Vehicle Collision near Watt Avenue
SACRAMENTO, CA (August 21, 2018) – One person was injured after a multi-car crash on Highway 50, early Tuesday evening. The names and places of residence of the drivers involved were not immediatelt disclosed.
The California Highway Patrol stated that the collision occurred around 5:16 PM. At least three cars were recovered on the eastbound 50 near Watt Avenue. The authorities identified the involved vehicles as a big rig, a Toyota, a blue sedan, and an unknown car. It was not yet clear what caused the pile-up collision
Officials and medics responded to the crash site, shortly after receiving calls of an accident. Due to the impact of the crash, one motorist inside the blue sedan reportedly sustained non-life threatening injuries. It is unclear whether or not the individual was hospitalized.
At least three lanes of the highway were closed while clearing operations and investigation were performed in the highway. No additional information has been to the public at this time, as officials continue to investigate.
