7 Cars Involved in Accident near Scripps Poway Parkway
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 20, 2019) – One person was hurt in a multi-car crash on northbound 15 Freeway, Wednesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 3:23 PM, just south of Scripps Poway Parkway. Based on an initial report, there were seven vehicles involved in the pile-up. The parties were identified as a blue sedan, a black sedan, a silver sedan, a pickup truck, two unknown cars, and an unidentified hit-and-run vehicle.
One person complained of pain to the head. The paramedics were requested for needed medical attention. No update was released regarding the extent of the victim’s condition.
Three lanes of traffic were closed while rescue, clearing, and cleaning operations were conducted in the area.
A search is still ongoing to look for the hit-and-run driver. Anyone with information is asked to contact the authorities as soon as possible. Additional information will be released following the conclusion of the investigation.
