Driver Flees From Main Street Collision in Oakley
Oakley, CA (February 08, 2022) – On Monday, one person sustained injuries in a Main Street hit-and-run collision.
At about 1:50 p.m., officers responded to an incident wherein a man assaulted the store manager and a woman.
The suspect fled in a white Chevy Malibu at a high rate of speed just before the officers arrived.
A few minutes later, the suspect’s vehicle caused a crash at the intersection of Main Street and Bridgehead Road.
Still, the suspect continued driving west into the City of Antioch.
Immediately, the emergency rescuers took one person to a hospital with injuries from the crash.
Moreover, at about 2:00 p.m., officers located the vehicle on Cavallo Road in the City of Antioch.
After a search of the home, the authorities did not find the suspect.
Though, they found a small dog when they searched the vehicle which was turned over to a relative. The authorities had the vehicle towed.
