Kidnapping Suspect Driving Stolen Vehicle Arrested in Multi-Vehicle Crash Near Beach Boulevard
Anaheim, CA (September 24, 2020) – On Wednesday, a person was injured, while police arrested another in a three-vehicle crash on near Beach Boulevard and Orange Avenue.
Deputy Eric Ortiz said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies from the Norwalk Station started chasing a kidnapping suspect at about 12:33 PM.
Apparently, the target drove a stolen vehicle in the police pursuit from Los Angeles County to Orange County.
The crash took place at 12:33 PM.
Carriger said one person in one of the vehicles not involved in the pursuit was injured. Rescuers took the victim to an area hospital.
Moreover, the authorities took the kidnapping suspect into custody, Ortiz said. Though, it was not immediately identified if he had a warrant out for a kidnapping charge or was suspected of kidnapping before or during the pursuit.
Further details were not immediately available.
