One Injured after DUI Crash on Winter Gardens Boulevard [Lakeside, CA]

1 Hospitalized after DUI Accident in Lakeside

 
LAKESIDE, CA (December 21, 2018) – Early Friday morning, one person was injured after a DUI crash on Winter Gardens Boulevard. The identity of the victim has not yet been released to the public.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 2:00 AM near Sapota Drive. First responders arrived at the scene after receiving multiple calls about the incident.
 
As per reports, a sedan and a Dodge Durango that was towing a trailer collided head-on, which caused one of the vehicles to overturn. No other motorist were involved in the crash.
 
Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the victim to Sharp Memorial Hospital for treatment and evaluation. The victim’s current medical condition is unclear at this time. No other injuries were reported in the incident.
 
Authorities stated that one of the drivers was arrested on suspicion of causing injury by driving under the influence. There has been no further information released to the public regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time.
