1 Hospitalized after Car Crash in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 27, 2019) – On Sunday morning, one person was injured in a two-vehicle collision on Grove Avenue.
According to officers, the incident occurred around 11:30 AM near Hollister Street.
As per reports, a MINI Cooper crashed into a truck. Due to the impact, the Cooper burst into flames. Good Samaritans stated the driver of the vehicle was unable to get out on his own and pulled him out. The cause of the accident is currently unknown.
First responders arrived at the scene, they stated the victim suffered injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. His current medical condition is unclear at this time.
Authorities stated the truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement.
The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time for cleanup and preliminary investigation, but has since reopened. No further details have been released regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time.
