One Injured in Car Crash on 8 Freeway [La Mesa, CA]

DUI Motorist Involved in Collision near Fletcher Parkway

 
LA MESA, CA (August 21, 2018) – On Sunday afternoon, one motorist was injured in a DUI car crash on 8 Freeway. The victim’s name and place of residence were not immediately released to the public.
 
California Highway Patrol reports stated that the collision occurred at approximately 3:32 PM near Fletcher Parkway. First responders arrived at the scene to find a red Toyota Corolla and a silver SUV on the right-hand shoulder of the highway.
 
One person complained of pain, due to the impact of the collision. It is unclear which driver was injured and the extent of their injuries.
 
The Toyota Corolla had a blown out front-axle and major damages. Officials conducted an investigation while crews cleaned up the debris on the freeway. No additional information has been released to the public at this time, as officials continue to investigate.
