Three Vehicles Involved in Collision near Cummings Skyway

 
CROCKETT, CA (September 11, 2018) – One person was injured early Tuesday evening, in a multi-vehicle crash on 80 Freeway. At least three vehicles were involved in the collision including a black BMW, a Mercedes-Benz and a white van.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 4:59 PM near Cummings Skyway. The cause of the pile-up and the events leading up to the crash are currently unclear.
 
Medics responded to the scene and rescued one person who sustained major injuries. The victim was then transported to the Kaiser Permanente Vallejo Medical Center for further treatment and evaluation. There is no update on their current medical condition.
 
The No. 1 and 2 lanes were closed on the eastbound 80 Freeway, as crews cleaned up and authorities conducted their investigation. Tow trucks were requested to the scene for a clearing operation. No further details have been disclosed as officials continue to investigate.
