Late Evening Collision on 80 Freeway in Emeryville, Complaint of Pain Reported
EMERYVILLE, CA (May 25, 2019) – At least one person was hurt following a two-car crash late Saturday evening in Emeryville.
The crash happened around 10:23 p.m. on westbound 80 Freeway, just East of Powell Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a gray Hyundai Elantra and a gray Toyota Prius collided for unknown reasons. The impact caused rear-end damage on the Prius.
Injuries were also sustained as a result of the crash, at least one patient complained of pain. Paramedics were dispatched to the scene to give aid.
About four to five other vehicles were disabled after hitting into crash debris.
The damaged cars were towed away from the collision scene.
An ongoing investigation continues to determine the ultimate cause of the accident and liability.
