Car Overturns in DUI Crash on 8 Freeway
EMERYVILLE, CA (July 14, 2019) – One person sustained injuries after a DUI crash on northbound 8 Freeway, late Sunday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place just south of 880 Freeway around 10:59 PM. Based on an initial report, a white car overturned after colliding with a dark sedan. After that, police found the sedan facing the wrong direction in the No. 1 lane. In addition, police located a suspected drunk driver inside.
The paramedics responded for needed medical attention. In addition, one person complained of arm pain. However, paramedics did not report any other injuries.
A clearing operation took place after rescue efforts. However, the roads reopened soon after.
