One Injured in Fresno Truck Collision
FRESNO, CA (March 1, 2019) – One person sustained minor injuries after a truck crashed into a building on Monday, February 25.
The crash occurred at around 5:48 p.m. at Tulare Avenue near 6th Street.
According to officers, the driver was moving south on 6th Street when it ran a red light. The truck collided into a mini-van heading west on Tulare Avenue, and then it crashed into a plumbing supply store.
Police said two employees were inside the store and both did not sustain any injuries. At least three people were in the truck, and one person suffered minor injuries and was rushed to the hospital.
Police say the two other occupants were under the influence and told officers the driver fled. Investigators do not believe that to be true.
The investigation is still ongoing.
Officers believe the incident was a possibly DUI-related.
