Solo Vehicle Overturned in Collision near 680 Freeway
MARTINEZ, CA (December 30, 2018) – One person was hospitalized after a rollover crash on westbound Highway 4, Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 9:10 AM, just east of 680 Freeway. Based on their report, a solo vehicle crashed into the guardrail before it went off the roadway and landed on its roof near the creek.
The paramedics were called for needed medical attention. One motorist was sent to John Muir Health, Concord Medical Center for treatment of unknown injuries.
Clearing and recovery operations took place after the victim was transported to the hospital. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the rollover and possible contributing factors. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
