SAN FRANCISCO, CA (March 20, 2019) – A multi-vehicle crash in San Francisco sent one person to the hospital on Tuesday, March 19.
According to the San Francisco Fire Department, roughly five vehicles crashed at Bay Street and Hyde Street shortly after 2:30 p.m.
Paramedics rushed one person to San Francisco General Hospital with unknown injuries following the incident, fire officials said. Their condition was not immediately available.
Fire officials stated that there were three total victims but did not specify what kind of injuries they sustained. The reason behind the incident is still unclear.
The crash caused a shutdown of service on the Powell/Hyde Cable Car line. Transportation officials provided shuttle service to commuters in the area, according to Muni.
