Morning 2-Car Crash on Highway 201 in Kingsburg Sends One to Hospital
KINGSBURG, CA (July 29, 2019) – One person was hospitalized following a two-car crash on Highway 201 Monday morning in Kingsburg.
The crash happened around 5:29 a.m., on Highway 201, also known as Avenue 400 at Road 40. CHP officials responded to the scene and located a blue Ford Explorer and a white Ford sedan.
According to reports, two victims were injured in the crash. One of which suffered moderate injuries, and was later taken to a hospital for further treatment. However, their current condition is unknown at this time.
One occupant, unknown if he was the driver in any of the vehicles, reportedly fled the scene on foot. He was also later described as a black male adult, possibly 5 feet and 2 inches tall, and wearing a light-colored long sleeve shirt and blue jeans. Moreover, he was last seen heading north into the orchard.
Furthermore, there were no descriptions of any vehicular damages at this time. However, both cars were eventually towed away from the crash site, due to the extent of damage sustained.
The events leading up are unclear at this time. However, an ongoing investigation currently continues to determine the ultimate cause of the accident and liability.
