Injuries Sustained in Two-Vehicle Collision near San Marco Boulevard
BAY POINT, CA (February 2, 2019) – One person was hospitalized after a crash on eastbound Highway 4, Saturday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 7:27 PM, just west of San Marco Boulevard. Based on their report, there were two vehicles involved in the incident. The parties were identified as a silver Toyota RAV-4 and a black Toyota sedan.
The manner of the accident was not stated in the report.
The paramedics were requested for needed medical attention. They confirmed that there were injuries due to impact. One person was sent to John Muir Health, Concord Medical Center for complaints of pain.
The Toyota had major rear-end damage. The No. 4 lane was blocked while a clearing operation took place in the area. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.
