Vehicle Catches Fire in Collision Near Saint Vincents Drive
SAN RAFAEL, CA (September 18, 2019) – One person was ejected in a fiery car accident on Highway 101 northbound on Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened just north of Saint Vincents Drive at approximately 8:22 AM. Based on a report, two vehicles involved. A Toyota Runner SUV caught fire in the incident and one person was ejected from one of the cars.
The paramedics arrived for needed medical attention. After that, officials airlifted one person to John Muir Health, Concord Medical Center.
A SigAlert was issued closing No. 4 and 5 lanes while fire officials worked on a clearing operation in the area.
The crash remains under investigation by the Fontana police.
