One Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash on East Cypress Road [Oakley, CA]

Oakley, CA (September 21, 2021) – On Monday, a person dies and others suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash on East Cypress Road.

The fatal crash took place at about 4:50 a.m. at the 2400 block area.

When the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District arrived at the accident scene, they located one of the vehicles off the roadway and on its side. 

The other vehicle was in the roadway blocking eastbound traffic. 

Emergency responders freed one person from being trapped inside a vehicle.

Minutes laters, officers pronounced at least one person dead on the scene.

Officers said others involved in the accident suffered minor injuries.

Meanwhile, the authorities continue to investigate the two-vehicle crash on East Cypress Road.
