WATSONVILLE, CA (August 6, 2019) – One person died after a pedestrian collision on Highway 1 near Vista Point on Monday, August 5.
 
California Highway Patrol told a local news source that they responded to the crash site shortly after 9:30 p.m.
 
The pedestrian succumbed to sustained injuries at the scene.
 
CHP said that the driver remained at the area. However, no information was immediately available about any injuries to the driver.
 
The identity of the pedestrian and place of residence was not yet released. However, the circumstances and the cause of the pedestrian collision are still under investigation.
