Pedestrian Killed in Live Oak Crash on Highway 99
LIVE OAK, CA (January 25, 2019) – A pedestrian died after he was struck on northbound Highway 99 in the Yuba-Sutter area on Wednesday, January 23.
California Highway Patrol said that a 23-year-old man wearing dark clothing was walking on or near Highway 99, north of Eager Road at an unknown time when the incident happened.
Authorities have not yet determined whether the man was walking along the shoulder or on the road.
At some time during the morning, a vehicle or several vehicles struck and killed him.
Officers responded to the location at about 7:28 a.m. on Wednesday.
Officials have not positively identified the man, but they know he is a resident of Jacksonville, FL.
