Two Hurt in Moorpark Rollover Crash on Highway 118 near Grimes Canyon Road
MOORPARK, CA (February 5, 2019) – One person had to be rescued from a rollover crash west of Moorpark on Saturday, February 2.
The accident was reported at around 2:51 p.m. along Highway 118 west of Grimes Canyon Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, authorities responded and found multiple vehicles involved in the crash. One vehicle was overturned in lanes with one person trapped inside was in critical condition.
A helicopter was called to the area to help take the crash victim to a medical center. The victim was extricated from the vehicle at about 3:17 p.m.
Another person sustained minor injuries and was medically released at the scene.
Approximately one gallon of fuel leaked from the vehicle as a result of the accident. Officials with the Ventura County Office of Environmental Health were informed to clean up the spill.
