One Hurt after Lake Stevens Hit-and-Run Collision on 84th Street
LAKE STEVENS, WA (January 3, 2019) – One person sustained life-threatening injuries after a head-on crash near Lake Stevens on Monday, December 31.
Deputies and medics rushed to the scene on 84th Street NE near 105th Avenue NE, at around 1:50 p.m. after receiving reports of a traffic incident, according to a Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson.
One victim was transported to the hospital with critical injuries.
The driver that caused the incident had left the scene on foot. Deputies searched the area for the suspect, and a K-9 police dog was brought to the scene to help in the search.
The circumstances that lead to the crash are under investigation.
Roads were temporarily closed and motorists were advised to avoid the area.
