2 Pickup Trucks Collide on Highway 41 in Coarsegold, Major Injuries Sustained
COARSEGOLD, CA (May 27, 2019) – At least one person was badly injured following a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Coarsegold.
The crash happened around 2:47 p.m. on southbound Highway 41, just North of Yosemite Springs Parkway.
According to the CHP, a blue Ford F-150 and a brown pickup truck collided. One of the vehicles went about 50 feet down an embankment, where it landed on its roof.
At least one occupant suffered major injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in an unknown condition. Another patient reportedly complained of pain.
The Ford sustained major front-end damage and was towed away from the scene along with the other truck.
Both lanes of the highway were closed during the rescue operation.
The specific cause of the crash and who may be at fault remain under investigation.
