Pedestrian Struck and Injured by Train in Collision near Golden State Boulevard
TURLOCK, CA (September 15, 2018) – One person was airlifted Saturday afternoon after a pedestrian crash on Fulkerth Road. The victim was only identified as an adult white male.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 1:30 PM near Golden State Boulevard. The unidentified victim was reportedly struck by a train in the area, although the events leading up to the accident were unclear.
The injured victim was immediately taken to a local hospital by Medi-Flight with life-threatening injuries. Officials are investigating why he was on the train track.
The roadways around Front Street and Fulkerth Road had been closed after the accident for several hours, while the investigation took place. No additional information has been released to the public at this time.
