Pickup Truck and Semi Truck Collide on 71 Freeway in Chino
CHINO, CA (May 30, 2019) – One person was airlifted following a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Chino.
The crash happened around 3:39 p.m. on 71 Freeway at Pine Avenue.
According to an initial report, a white Dodge Ram went underneath a semi truck. Fire crews arrived on the scene and found one patient trapped inside the heavily damaged pickup.
An air ambulance was requested and took the patient to a hospital in an unknown condition.
A SigAlert was issued in the area, blocking two lanes of southbound 71 Freeway for the air ambulance to land.
It is unknown if drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
