One Airlifted after Fiery Crash on Highway 41 [Riverdale, CA]

Vehicle Catches Fire in Crash on Highway 41

 
RIVERDALE, CA (June 29, 2019) – One person was airlifted to the hospital after a fiery crash on northbound Highway 41, Saturday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred just south of Laguna Avenue. It happened at approximately 4:12 AM. Based on reports, a black Hummer and a sedan were involved in the accident. The sedan was overturned before it was engulfed in fire.
 
The paramedics were requested for needed medical attention. An air ambulance sent a 50-year-old man to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
 
The southbound lanes were closed while rescue and clearing operations were conducted in the area.
