11-Year-Old Omar Viera Fatally Injured after Perris Car Accident
PERRIS, CA (August 1, 2019) – An 11-year-old Perris boy identified as Omar Viera died after he fell from a moving vehicle on Tuesday, July 23.
According to reports, the incident occurred in the 600 block of Catamaran Way in Perris, shortly after 10:00 p.m.
A person who described herself as Omar’s aunt, Evita Merino Viera, said in a Facebook post that Omar sustained a head injury.
The Coroner’s Office stated that officers rushed Omar to Riverside University Health System Medical Center for further treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries around 9:48 a.m., July 25.
There were no arrests made, the sheriff’s spokesman said.
The spokesman also said that no additional details would be released during the investigation, which remains ongoing at this time.
