Driver Cited in Lacey Bicycle Crash
Lacey, WA (September 26, 2024) – A 42-year-old male bicyclist from Olympia was injured in a bicycle crash on College Street Wednesday morning.
The collision happened around 8:40 a.m. at the intersection with Third Avenue Southeast near Lacey City Hall.
Troopers said, the bicyclist was attempting to turn west on the north crosswalk at College Street when a woman in her 70s struck him.
The driver was turning left from Third Avenue when the collision happened.
Immediately, the bicyclist was taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital with a head injury.
Moreover, Lacey Police cited the female driver for failing to yield. The authorities do not suspect impairment played a role in the Lacey bicycle crash.
