OILDALE, CA (January 8, 2020) – An officer sustained minor to moderate injuries in a car collision on Airport Drive on January 6.
 
The crash occurred just after 11:30 a.m. on Airport Drive and State Road. The crash also caused a backup of traffic in the area.
 
The Bakersfield Pollice Department officer traveled north on Airport Drive when a westbound truck on State Road ran a red light and struck the officer’s vehicle. The driver remained at the scene and helped with the investigation.
