Officer Injured in Fullerton Traffic Incident near 91 Freeway and 5 Freeway

 
FULLERTON, CA (November 29, 2020) – On Friday night, an officer suffered injuries in an accident near 91 Freeway and 5 Freeway.
 
According to CHP, authorities responded to a report of an officer injured near the 5 Freeway at around 7:00 p.m.
 
Buena Park Police Sgt. Mario Escamilla revealed that the officer was on his way to work when he saw a traffic infraction on the westbound freeway and decided to pull the suspect over. Moreover, the motorist pulled over for a while then drove in reverse, to allegedly struck the officer and his motorcycle.
 
Thus, the incident sparked an “officer-involved shooting” and the vehicle took off to the westbound freeway.
 
Responders transported the officer to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Due to the investigation, all westbound lanes of 91 Freeway were closed.
 
Then, officers released no further information regarding the incident.
