Man Arrested after St Louis Auto Accident on Interstate 70 near Broadway
ST LOUIS, MO (November 10, 2024) – Saturday morning, a startling DUI crash on Interstate 70 near Broadway involved a police officer.
The incident occurred at about 1:00 a.m. on Interstate 70 near the Broadway exit.
A suspected drunk driver collided with a St. Louis police patrol vehicle overnight. According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the officer inside was briefly hospitalized for evaluation but did not sustain serious injuries and has since been released.
Police report that the 41-year-old suspect appeared intoxicated at the time of the crash. He was taken into custody and may face charges for DUI, driving with a revoked license, and previous bench warrants.
“We cannot stress enough — please do not drink and drive. You risk everything when you drive drunk,” SLMPD stated in a Facebook post.
There were no reports of additional injuries or other vehicles involved in the crash.
