Collision in South Lake Tahoe Injures Officer

 
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA (July 08, 2019) – Officials sent a police officer to a hospital after a collision at Lake Tahoe Boulevard and Lodi Avenue Saturday night.
 
They said the incident involved two vehicles. Emergency dispatch received a call from the police officer about the incident just before 8 p.m. The officer alerted them that he had just been in a collision.
 
Emergency responders took the officer to a hospital with complaints of back pain. On the other hand, the driver of the other vehicle was shaken up as per the police. However, she declined medical attention.
 
The South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD) turned the investigation over to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) as it involved one of their officers. CHP will be reviewing footages from the intersection camera and the officer’s camera to aid them in their investigation.
