Officer David Gonzales Arrested after Startling DUI Crash on Interstate 80 [Fairfield, CA]

Injuries Reported in Fairfield Auto Accident on Interstate 80 and Manuel Campos Parkway

FAIRFIELD, CA (February 13, 2024) – Monday morning, Officer David Gonzales was arrested after a startling DUI crash on Interstate 80.

The incident happened at about 3:00 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 80, east of Manuel Campos Parkway.

According to reports, the officer crashed his Tesla into a single CHP cruiser that was blocking a slow lane due to another wreck involving a Dodge Ram.

As a result, one CHP officer received treatment and was released from the hospital. Meanwhile, a second officer was outside of the cruiser and suffered no injuries in the crash.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
