Officer Bianca Quintana Dies After Crash on Coors Blvd SW in Albuquerque

Albuquerque, NM (August 15, 2024) – Early Wednesday morning, Officer Bianca Quintana died in a hit-and-run crash on Coors Blvd SW

August 14, 2024, at approximately 12:45 AM, Bernalillo County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a pedestrian fatality near Coors Blvd SW and Chapulin Rd SW. 

The victim has been identified as Bianca Quintana, an off-duty officer from the Albuquerque Police Department.

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation while collaborating closely with the Albuquerque Police Department due to the involvement of one of their officers. 

We extend our deepest condolences to the officer’s family and the Albuquerque Police Department during this difficult time.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional details will be provided as they emerge. 

BCSO has confirmed that this incident was a fatal hit-and-run, and investigators are diligently working to gather more information as the suspect remains at large.
