4 Vehicles Involved in Evening Collision on Highway 13 in Oakland, Major Injuries Sustained
OAKLAND, CA (January 25, 2019) – One person was seriously injured following a multi-vehicle collision Friday evening in Oakland.
The collision happened around 7:48 p.m. on northbound Highway 13, just South of Joaquin Miller Road off-ramp.
According to an initial report, four vehicles, including a white SUV and a black Chevrolet Impala, were involved. When officers arrived, one vehicle was blocking the first lane while another one was blocking the fourth lane.
One occupant sustained a serious leg fracture and was taken to a hospital for proper treatment.
All lanes were shut down while crews worked on the rescue and clearing operations.
There were no official reports stating what caused the crash or how it exactly transpired. Investigation of this incident is still ongoing.
