Nurus Chowdhury Killed in Brutal Crash on Buckingham Road and S Sherman Street [Richardson, TX]

1 Dead in Richardson Auto Accident on Buckingham Road and S Sherman Street

RICHARDSON, TX (March 28, 2024) – Tuesday afternoon, Nurus Chowdhury died in a brutal crash on Buckingham Road and S Sherman Street.

The Richardson Police Department revealed that the crash happened at around 2:54 p.m. at the intersection of Buckingham Road and S Sherman Street.

When the officers arrived, they found a Honda SUV with visible damage and unable to move. Meanwhile, an Acura SUV had crashed through a fence before crashing with a tree. Reports added that the Acura subsequently caught fire.

Then, both the driver and passenger from the burning Acura were rescued. Unfortunately, the driver, identified as 74-year-old Chowdhury and a resident of Richardson, was declared dead at the scene.

Moreover, the passenger suffered significant injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Also, the driver of the Honda sustained no injuries after the crash.

Witnesses revealed that the Acura was driving westbound on Buckingham Road. Meanwhile, the Honda was driving northbound on S. Sherman St. at the time of the initial crash.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
