2 Cars Involved in Late Evening Hit-and-Run Crash in North Highlands
NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (December 13, 2018) – One person was injured following a hit-and-run crash late Thursday evening in North Highlands, CHP officials said.
The crash happened around 10:42 p.m. at 5813 North Haven Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a black Mercedes-Benz collided with a white BMW X5 SUV that was parked on the roadway. A female passenger in the parked SUV suffered a head injury as a result of the crash.
Sacramento Fire Department officials along with paramedics responded to the scene and transported the injured victim to a hospital.
The identity and condition of the patient were not immediately known.
The driver of the Mercedes reportedly fled the scene without rendering aid.
At this time, authorities are in the process of investigating the incident and on the lookout for the suspect vehicle and driver.
