1 Dead in Pasco Car Accident
PASCO, WA (March 12, 2019) – A 37-year-old man died in a single-car rollover car collision on the Road 68 exit ramp going westbound on 182 Freeway on March 10.
The incident occurred when the driver traveled at high speed. While exiting, he lost control and went off the road. After trying to go back to the road, the vehicle overturned because of the muddy and icy ground.
The WSP revealed that Juan Manuel Velasco of Pasco, the vehicle driver, told authorities that he has a couple of drinks. Velasco didn’t suffer any injuries. Unfortunately, Noe Cruz, Velasco’s passenger, sustained fatal injuries and died at a hospital.
After Velasco agreed to take the breath test, authorities found out that he blew 0.099, which is 0.019 more than the legal limit of 0.08. The authorities charged him of vehicular homicide. Velasco’s bail was set to $250,000.
