Fog Causes Fatalities in Oroville Crash on Highway 99 and Hinamin Drive
OROVILLE, CA (November 18, 2020) – Early Saturday, Noah Anderson and four other people died in a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 99 and Hinamin Drive cause by heavy fog.
Several big rigs and passenger vehicles took part in the crash. It happened on Highway 99, south of Hinamin Drive, in between Gridley and Biggs.
Furthermore, the fatal crash also sent two patients to the hospital, their injuries varying.
At this time, the crash involving ten vehicles amid a thick fog remains under investigation.
However, the CHP confirmed that low visibility due to heavy fog in the area played a role in the Highway 99 crash.
Furthermore, the National Weather Service confirmed that fog covered much of the valley overnight.
Also, the CHP did not disclose the names of those who succumbed to the injuries they sustained in the crash until Wednesday.
Among the deceased was 20-year-old Noah Anderson of Yuba City, CA.
