Bishop Multi-Vehicle Accident on US Highway 395 near Brockman Lane

 
BISHOP, CA (January 19, 2022) – Friday morning, a three-vehicle crash on US Highway 395 near Brockman Lane led to no serious injuries.
 
The incident happened at around 8:30 a.m. on US Highway 395 near Brockman Lane. According to reports, a semi-truck driver from Delano drove a 2015 Freightliner semi-truck/trailer. Then, the semi-truck headed north along US Highway 395, just north of Brockman Lane.
 
Afterward, the semi pulled in the center median to try to make a right turn into a private residence. However, a driver from Bishop in a 2015 Ford Explorer traveled at a high rate of speed, north on the highway. Then, due to the Explorer’s speed, the driver failed to slow down in time. Eventually, it crashed into the front right side of the semi-truck.
 
Then, the Explorer crashed into metal fencing and a tree. As a result, the driver lost control and rolled over across the highway and into the southbound lanes.
 
Meanwhile, a Houston Texas driver of a Ford Econoline headed south on the US Highway 395, just north of Brockman Lane. As the Explorer rolled over, it hit the left rear side of the Ford Econoline.
 
Eventually, the semi-truck and the trailer stopped and blocked the northbound lanes of the highway.
 
Fortunately, all parties managed to exit their vehicles and they only suffered minor injuries. Out of the six parties, responders took two people to Northern Inyo Hospital for minor injuries.
 
Personnel from CHP, Inyo County Sheriff’s Department, Bishop Police Department, Bishop Fire Department, and Emergency Medical Services all came to the scene.
 
Furthermore, the Bishop CHP handles the investigation.
