Cement Truck Collision on 5 Freeway Involves Pick-Up and Minivan
Tustin, CA (August 28, 2020) – On Thursday, a cement truck collision on 5 Freeway caused several lanes through Tustin to be closed for hours.
The crash took place at about 9 a.m on the northbound 5 Freeway north of Red Hill Avenue.
Authorities said a cement truck heading north on the freeway crashed into the center divider. Apparently, it left its cab in the southbound lanes.
Furthermore, a Toyota Tundra pickup truck and a minivan were included in the crash.
Meanwhile, the California Highway Patrol did not report any injuries due to the crash.
The northbound carpool lane of the 5 Freeway remained closed several hours after the crash.
Aim high in steering, i.e. don’t make your steering adjustments based on what is directly in front of you, but rather what is down the road. If the road is winding to the right, for example, look as far into the turn as possible. This will improve your safety and make your turns smoother.
What To Do in Vehicle Crash
Roadways, while scrupulously created and mapped for efficient travel, are one of the most dangerous settings.
As common of an occurrence as they are, many people do not suspect what follows in the event of a car crash.
Here are the things that we need to do in a vehicle crash:
Before anything else, seek medical attention if you have been hurt.
Then, get to a safe place to prevent further damage or injury.
Also, collect as much information as possible: insurance and contact information of people involved in the accident, pictures/videos of vehicles involved, documentation of fault, and whatever else that can be used for evidence.
Additionally, file a police report or incident report by calling 911.
