Pedestrian Nirmal Singh Injured in Accident on Interstate 82 [Kittitas County, WA]

Kittitas County, WA (December 17, 2024) – Nirmal Singh, 39, of British Columbia, was injured following a traffic accident on Interstate 82 Sunday evening.

WSP said it was around 6:15 p.m. when the pedestrian crash happened eight miles east of Ellensburg.

According to the authorities, Josefina Martinez-Chavez, 37, swerved to miss a traffic collision and went off the roadway and struck Nirmal Singh.

Singh was transported to Kittitas Valley Healthcare for treatment of undisclosed injuries.

Troopers said Chavez was driving too fast for road conditions and impairment did not play a role in the accident.
