Nicole Scalone Dies in San Luis Obispo Car Accident
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (June 12, 2019) – Two people were killed following a head-on crash early Wednesday morning in San Luis Obispo.
The crash happened around 2:35 a.m on northbound Highway 101 at Higuera Street.
According to the CHP, a gray 2012 Ford Fiesta was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Highway 101 when it collided head-on with a silver Honda Civic, driven by a 43-year-old Los Osos man.
The impact killed both drivers.
The female driver of the Ford sedan was later identified as a 22-year-old Nicole Scalone of Bellevue, Washington, a Cal Poly student and scheduled to graduate this weekend.
The crash remains under investigation.
