2 Killed and 2 Hospitalized in Lake County Auto Accident near Highway 29 and Hill Road

 
LAKE COUNTY, CA (October 19, 2021) – Sunday night, Nicole Parrott and Jesse Maldonado died in a crash near Highway 29.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the wrong-way crash happened at around 8:45 p.m. Moreover, it occurred near the intersection of Highway 29 and Hill Road.
 
Reports revealed that a northbound 2019 Nissan collided head-on with a southbound 2019 Cadillac XTS traveling on the northbound lane. Then, the force of the crash ejected the 38-year-old Nissan driver, Nicole Parrott, from her vehicle.
 
Furthermore, responders pronounced Parrott, who was pregnant at the time, dead at the scene. Paramedics also pronounced the Cadillac driver, 34-year-old Jesse Maldonado dead at the scene.
 
Moreover, officials confirmed that two passengers of the Nissan sustained injuries. Responders took them, a 41-year-old man with major injuries and a 16-year-old boy with minor injuries to Sutter Lakeside Hospital.
 
Meanwhile, the events leading to the crash remain under investigation.
