26-Year-Old Nicole Gutierrez Dies After Crash on Aviation Parkway in Tucson

Tucson, AZ (July 23, 2024) – On Tuesday, 26-year-old Nicole Gutierrez died in a crash on Aviation Parkway.

Both the driver and passenger were ejected from their Dodge Charger during Tuesday’s early morning crash on Aviation Parkway, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD). 

The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. at Aviation Parkway and Technical Drive. The passenger, 26-year-old Nicole Gutierrez, died at the scene, while the driver, who remains unidentified, was taken to a nearby hospital. 

PCSD’s investigation revealed that the car was traveling eastbound on Aviation Parkway at a high speed when the driver lost control in a curve. 

The Charger collided with concrete barriers, several signs, a light pole, and a building. 

The investigation is ongoing.
