Nicole Erin Buquet Dead in Le Mesa Crash on State Route 125 at Interstate 8
EL CAJON, CA (October 19, 2020) – Early Sunday morning, a passenger named Nicole Buquet died in an accident on State Route 125 at Interstate 8 near La Mesa.
Subsequently, police arrested Erik Anderson for DUI, causing the deadly rear-end truck crash.
According to California Highway Patrol, the deadly incident between a tow truck and the pickup truck occurred at around 12:30 a.m.
Reports revealed that Ms. Buquet of Alpine, who was a passenger in the Ford that rear-ended the tow truck, died in the crash.
La Mesa Police Department helped with some traffic control during the crash response, police said.
Moreover, the authorities cleared the scene by around 3:40 a.m., CHP said.
The incident is under active investigation as of this moment. Later reports revealed that police arrested Erik Anderson for felony DUI, and booked him into the San Diego County Jail.
