James Haddid and Nicole Ardon ID’d as the Victims in the Car Accident on 210 Freeway
La Crescenta-Montrose, CA (August 4, 2020) – On Monday, Nicole Ardon and James Haddid died in a wrong-way car collision on the 210 Freeway.
The fatal crash was reported at about 2:41 a.m. when a car was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of the 210 Freeway, says California Highway Patrol.
Rescuers pronounced the drivers of each of vehicle, Nicole Ardon, of Sunland, and James Haddid, of Pasadena, dead at the scene.
Moreover, the family members of Mr. Haddid were at the scene after tracking his mobile phone.
“A passenger in the wrong-way vehicle sustained moderate injuries in the accident,” says Sgt. Manuel Rodriguez.
Video taken from the scene showed the freeway being shut down just before 5:30 a.m. as crews continued to remove debris from lanes. Authorities reopened the Freeway by 8 AM.
Rodriguez said wrong-way drivers often travel in the HOV or far left lane. It is because visually they think they’re in the slow lane on the right side.
“Try to stay in the middle lanes so you have out one way or the other,” says Rodriguez.
We at Sweet Lawyers express our condolences to the families and friends of James Haddid and Nicole Ardon. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
How the Families of the Victims May Proceed
Unfortunately, in today’s climate unexpected death is everpresent. As the loved ones of the deceased victims grieve, it is also important to recognize that if your family loses a member in an accident, you may recover damages through a wrongful death suit.
A wrongful death lawsuit gives the loved ones of a departed family member some semblance of justice.
“The aftermath of tragic accidents can make everything difficult for a family. The last thing most families want to deal with is piles of paperwork, questions from insurance companies or defense attorneys, and attempting to obtain police reports. Grieving and handling legal claims don’t exactly go hand in hand. Thus, hiring an experienced attorney will provide you peace of mind that you have a fighter in your corner, someone to make sure that your rights are respected and that justice is served. Having legal representation after such a traumatic event will give your family the room to heal, while ensuring that justice is brought to your loved one,” says Mark Sweet, a seasoned attorney at Sweet Lawyers.
