Nick Peterson Dies Bakersfield Motorcycle Crash on Coffee and Hageman Road
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 11, 2021) – Sunday afternoon, 13-year-old Nicolas Peterson died, and his stepfather suffered injuries in a motorcycle accident on Coffee Road and Hageman Road.
The fatal incident involving an SUV and a motorcycle happened just before 1:00 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Coffee Road and Hageman Road after receiving a report of a crash.
Upon their arrival, they located a man and a juvenile down in the road.
According to the department, Nicolas died at the scene. Meanwhile, responders took Johnathan Deal, 35, to Jern Medical to receive treatment for his life-threatening injuries.
Moreover, the Bakersfield Police Department revealed that the SUV was trying to turn left in front of the westbound motorcycle. Then, the crash happened.
The other driver suffered no injuries in the crash and has been cooperative with the investigation.
