Leilani Fillhard Hurt in Fatal 2-Vehicle Collision on Frankford Avenue
Lubbock, TX (August 15, 2023) On Sunday afternoon, 23-year-old Nickolas Wood died after a motorcycle crash on 19th Avenue.
Authorities say that the 2-vehicle collision happened around noon, at the intersection of 19th and Frankford Avenue.
Reports say that 82-year-old Leilani Fillhard was driving a vehicle when she attempted to south onto Frankford, where she collided with Wood on an eastbound on 19th Street on a motorcycle.
Medics transported Wood to UMC, however, the rider later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Meanwhile, Fillhard was taken to Covenant Medical Center by private vehicle with minor injuries.
Officials are investigating the fatal 2-vehicle Lubbock collision.
